Matt arrived at the Bath Foyer in Feb 2005 after being referred by a

and North East Somerset Council social worker: “My mother’s an alcoholic and I was getting a lot of hassle at home. My social worker realised I had to get away from home because I was living with an alcoholic who was giving me hell every single day. I couldn’t get to work because there was no public transport from where I lived. It’s been amazing and my life is totally different already. I’ve already learnt how to use a computer and the music room is really good. When I was living at home I had no confidence at all, but since coming here I already feel much better. What I really want to do is become a stonemason. I’m hoping the staff here will help me find out about stonemasonry courses or apprenticeships.”
